Establish Lean Six Sigma Methodology


Lean Six Sigma methodology is used in many industries in its drive for enhancing innovation and productivity. This programme gives participants a comprehensive understanding of how Lean Six Sigma works to generate the benefits it offers. Participants receive an overview of the key principles, strategies and tools used in Lean Six Sigma initiative and how this methodology can get and keep your organization on the road to success.

This session will also feature a process simulation activity – Dot simulation that will give participants a first-hand look at how DMAIC tools are applied.

The Lean Six Sigma course focuses on process improvement through waste elimination and variation reduction. It is applied on processes that are inefficient and ineffective. The application of tools are not restricted to manufacturing or engineering processes, it could also be applied to transactional process in Human Resources, Finance or Customer Services. 

The course will enable participants to improve process efficiency and effectiveness for productivity and innovation gain.

Lim, Jackie

[ Assistant Trainer ] Jackie is a certified Lean Six Sigma practitioner, spending 8 years with General Electric as a Six Sigma Black Belt and 10 years in the IT industry as an Operations Manager, complementing process operation with Lean Six Sigma rigor. As a Six Sigma Black Belt with General Electric, Jackie mentored at least 100 Green Belts across Asia Pacific in process improvement, cost out and revenue growth initiatives spanning multiple functions in Sales Operation, Supply Chain Management, Sourcing, Field Engineering and Finance. She also delivered training for Six Sigma, Change Acceptance Process (CAP) and Facilitation Workshops. After General Electric, Jackie spent 10 years as a Business Operations Manager; first with Sun Microsystems for 6 years, then with IBM Global Business for another 4 years. The business operations role placed Jackie in a unique position to leverage her Lean Six Sigma process rigor and data analytics to drive business excellence in Operations. Jackie brought improvement to a wide range of processes, from front line sales to bottom line profitability. These included improvement in demand generation, customer account planning, pipeline-forecasting management, channel distribution management, sales resource allocation, commission compensation, ERP-deployment functional readiness, business intelligence data-mart analytics and margin improvement. Currently, Jackie is a senior consultant with Pivotal Resources, developing and delivering Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Green Belt and Facilitation training for business excellence, continuous improvement and people transformation initiatives. Jackie coaches Black Belts, Green Belts and facilitate ‘kaizen’ events across various industries including financial services, manufacturing, insurance, government shared services, automotive and healthcare.

Yoong, Fook Loy

Yoong Fook Loy has over 15 years of in-depth training and hands-on deployment in Socio-technical system of Organisation Design and Development. While in employment, Fook Loy held various positions in Operation, Human Resources Development and Six Sigma. He was the Corporate Leadership Program Manager for Asia with GE Corporate, overseeing talent development in numerous GE Leadership Programs before establishing his training and consulting business – The Centre for Performance Transformation. Fook Loy currently also provides training and consulting services to companies such as Bank Negera Indonesia, IE Singapore, JTC, Cisco Systems, EDB Singapore, Microsoft, OCBC Bank, Sun Micro-system, and others. Fook Loy graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He is a Master Black Belt and a Master Trainer and Consultant for High Performance Work Organisation.
