Course Detail

EE2001 Circuit Analysis
Objectives
This course equips students with the knowledge needed for the analysis of AC and DC linear circuits. Students would be able to set up independent equations of linear circuits and solve them using the techniques and skills acquired in this course. A sound knowledge of the analytical techniques learnt in this course can serve as a good foundation for the study of linear control systems, power networks, electronics and communication systems in later years.
Outline
- Circuit Theorems.
- Energy Storage Elements and Transient Response.
- Laplace Transforms in Circuit Analysis.
- Network Functions and Two-port Networks.
- Alternating Current Circuits.
- Three-Phase AC Circuits.
Who Should Attend
Working professionals with knowledge of fundamentals of physics and calculus would be helpful.
