CV3011 Reinforced Concrete Design
Objectives
The objective is to equip the students with basic understanding of the behaviour of reinforced concrete structures and to develop the skill to analyze and design basic concrete members.

The students are expected to be able to understand the behaviour and load-carrying capacity of basic reinforced concrete members. They should be able to design beam, slab, column and footing, with confidence using existing codes of practice. It is also expected that the student would know the limitations of the design methods used.
Outline

Who Should Attend
This module is part of 4 courses leading to the "Specialist Certificate in Civil Infrastructure".

This Specialist Certificate will enable NTU’s Environmental Engineering graduates to apply for registration as Professional Engineers (Civil), if other requirements (4 years of relevant practical experience in engineering, FEE & PPEE examinations, interview) are also fulfilled.

Eligibility Criteria
At least 21 years of age
Have 2 years of full-time work experience, or have fully discharged full-time NS liability, or are currently employed on a full-time basis.
Degree in Engineering/Science or
Polytechnic Diploma with relevant working experience
